Wednesday. Nuit Magique.

I had a pretty laid back day yesterday, which was great. Postie and I had a coffee while we waited for the net cafe to open [doesn't open until 1100], and had a wander around town after breakfast. We got a short black, because we could actually order a café. Today, was the next step with a cafe au lait - a regular sized coffee, with some milk in it.

I had a good wander around the festival, looked at the stalls, and saw various performers throughout the day. I saw some of Claymore again, and the Bagad band pictured at the top. I even sampled some smoked salmon, which will be in the food post, number 2.

The Nuit Magique last night was running a little later than usual. We changed our parade time to 2200, but even after a good tune up, weren't on for the first part until almost 0000. We were off again at 0020, but only had time for a quick beer before the finale. That was done by 0120. After drying the pipes, getting changed, trading in a few beer tickets, it was a reasonably late night. I tried the McCallum single malt, which was so nice, I had a couple.

I didn't make it to breakfast this morning, but got up just in time for lunch... Fortunately this puts my body clock into festival mode, since things finish so late, and everything is very quiet in the mornings.

Drying the pipes...huh?...do they get wet?
Hope you didn't spill any beer on them

Hi, Cam. Sounds like you are having a good time there. Say hello to Postie for me as well. Keep on piping.
